We are the producer, not a reseller. The same hands source the kilims, cut the panels and last the shoes. Boutiques, concept stores and labels order from us as curated assortments: no two pairs alike, every piece numbered before it ships.
Twenty-five pairs of hands, and room for about 1,500 pieces a month across the range. Send your size run and quantities and we reply with availability, lead time and prices. A person answers, usually the same day.

The craft
A kilim is only worth cutting when the weave is sound and the dye is settled. What we cannot use as an upper goes back out as a cushion or a bag lining. Nothing of the rug is wasted.
We buy whole kilims from villages and dealers across Anatolia, and only those with a sound weave and settled, vegetable-dyed colour. Each rug is washed and dried flat before anything is cut.
No die, no repeat. A cutter reads the rug and places the pattern so a motif falls whole on the toe, then cuts the mirrored panel for the other foot from the same field.
The panel is backed, trimmed in full-grain leather and pulled over a wooden last by hand. Linings and collars are leather, stitched so the kilim edge is never exposed to wear.
Soles are set, edges dressed, insoles laid in leather. Every pair is inspected, photographed and numbered. The photograph is what the customer receives.
The kilim
Kilims are flat-woven. No pile, no knot, the pattern built straight into the structure. In Anatolia they were woven at home, often for a dowry, and the motifs were read rather than decorated: elibelinde, hands on hips, for fertility; koçboynuzu, the ram's horn, for strength.
The rugs we cut are between seventy and eighty years old. Their reds come from madder root, their blues from indigo, their yellows from weld, which is why the colour softens rather than fades.
A kilim that can no longer lie on a floor can still go out on a foot.
The atelier
A family workshop in Istanbul, cutting vintage kilim into shoes, bags, cushions and furniture since 1991, the first house to make this its trade. The same hands source the rugs, cut the panels and last the shoes, which is why we can tell you where a pattern came from when you ask.

The pair in the photograph. Each piece is numbered and shot before dispatch, and for wholesale orders we send the images of the exact pairs allocated to you for approval.
True to size for loafers and sneakers. Boots run a touch snug over the instep, so take half a size up if you wear thick socks. Loafers stretch and settle after a week of wear.
Between seventy and eighty years old, and vegetable-dyed throughout — madder root, indigo and weld rather than anything synthetic. The colour has done its settling long before we cut, so it softens under wear instead of running or bleaching. It is also why two panels never match exactly, even when they come from the same rug.
Brush the wool dry with a soft brush; treat a mark with a barely damp cloth rather than water. Condition the leather trim twice a year. Never machine wash and never dry in direct sun.
Dispatched from Türkiye and couriered worldwide with tracking. Dispatch time depends on the size of the order. Five working days at the earliest, longer for larger runs. Unworn pairs can be returned within 14 days of delivery; duties and import taxes depend on the destination and are the buyer's responsibility.

This site shows no advertising, builds no profile of you and carries no social or marketing pixels. Every file that makes up the page — the fonts included — comes from our own server. Two things sit outside that, and section 3 covers both: the site is delivered through Cloudflare, which also counts visits without a cookie; and we use Google Analytics, which does set cookies and therefore does not run at all until you say yes. Decline and the site behaves identically. Whatever you answer is remembered on your device under a name given in section 2, alongside a note of any announcement you have closed. We hold personal data beyond that only if you write to us, and then only to answer you.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the file requested, the referring page and the browser's user agent string. A web server writes these automatically and we cannot switch them off.
Beyond those logs and the measurement described in section 3: no fingerprinting, no A/B testing, no heat maps, no advertising or remarketing tags and no social pixels. The only cookies this site can set are Google Analytics' two, and only after you have allowed them.
One thing is stored on your device, and it is ours rather than anyone else's. When we are showing an announcement — a fair we are exhibiting at, say — and you close it, your browser keeps a note under the key kc-promo in local storage. It records which announcement it was and the day you dismissed it, so the same notice does not meet you on every visit. It says nothing about who you are, it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, no server can read it, and clearing your browsing data removes it. A second note, under the key kc-consent, holds one word — the yes or no you gave to section 3 — so we do not ask again on every visit. Both are local storage rather than cookies, deliberately: a cookie would be attached to every one of the twenty-odd requests this page makes, which is a great deal of traffic to carry a single preference.
Nothing on the page embeds a video or a map that calls another server on its own. The atelier film is hosted by us. If an announcement carries a film from YouTube, what you see first is a still image of ours with a play button on it; YouTube is contacted only if you press play, and that is your decision to make. The address in the footer is a plain link, so nothing is requested from Google unless you choose to click it.
Two things count visits here, and they are not alike. One needs your permission and one does not, so they are set out separately.
The site is served through Cloudflare, a content delivery network. Every request for this page passes through their machines before it reaches ours, which is what makes the site quick outside Türkiye and what absorbs attacks on it. In doing so Cloudflare sees your IP address, the file you asked for and your browser's user agent, in the same way our own server does. Cloudflare acts as our processor.
The same service also counts visits for us. It sets no cookie, writes nothing to your device, cannot recognise you when you come back and cannot follow you to another site. What reaches us is a tally: how many times the page was opened, which site sent the reader, and a country, browser and device type — never a name, never an individual visitor. We could not single you out from it if we tried.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which parts of the site people actually read. This one sets cookies, which is why it is off until you allow it. Two are used, both first-party, meaning they are set for this site and cannot be read by anyone else: _ga and _ga_2H85JJKQYT, each lasting two years and holding a random identifier that tells a returning browser from a new one. They carry nothing about who you are.
Until you accept, the tag runs in Google's consent-denied mode: no cookie is written, no identifier is created, and what reaches Google is a signal with no way back to you. Accept and the cookies are set and we see pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location by city, and browser and device type. We never send Google your name, your email or anything you have written to us, and we have not enabled advertising features, remarketing or Google Signals.
Saying no costs you nothing: the site behaves identically and no cookie is written. You can change your mind in either direction at any time — — and withdrawing is as easy as giving it, as Article 7(3) GDPR requires. Clearing your browsing data also revokes it, since the record of your answer lives there.
If you email, telephone, message us on WhatsApp or write through Etsy or Instagram, we receive what you send: your name, your email address or number, your company if you have one, and the content of your message.
If you reach us through WhatsApp, Instagram or Etsy, that platform has already processed your data under its own terms before the message arrives with us, and we have no control over that part. Email and the telephone are the most private routes.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us once. We do not use anything you send us to train software.
Our web host, which runs the server and therefore holds the logs; Cloudflare, which delivers the site and counts the visit; Google, but only if you allowed the cookies in section 3; and our email provider, which carries our mail. All act as processors on our instructions. Where there is a shipment, the carrier and the customs authority receive the delivery details they need. No one else.
We are in Türkiye and the data you send us stays here. Two exceptions, both to do with section 3. Cloudflare is a global network, so the request that fetches this page is handled by whichever of their locations is nearest you, under their standard contractual clauses. And if you allowed Google Analytics, that measurement reaches Google Ireland and onward to the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Nothing you type passes through either, because the site has no forms — writing to us is an ordinary email from your own mail program to ours.
As for the rest: For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom that is a transfer to a third country. It happens because you have chosen to contact a Turkish workshop directly, and it is limited to what is necessary to answer you and to carry out the contract, which is the derogation in Article 49(1)(b) GDPR. We transfer data nowhere else.
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict what we do with it, receive it in a portable form, or object to us holding it at all. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within thirty days. There is no charge.
If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in Türkiye you apply to us first, then to the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu.
The same applies under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data. YUNART is the veri sorumlusu. Data is collected by electronic means for the purposes set out above, and your rights under Article 11 are the ones listed in section 7.
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
